Construction of Educational and Medical Service Building

Dear Patron,

Imparting quality education to the budding children of our non-formal primary school, Gadadhar Sishu Vikas Kendra and serving the poor ailing people by OPD treatment at our Sister Nivedita Swasthya Seva Kendra have always been our top priority. Accordingly, we have tried our best to provide classroom education to the students as far as practicable. But such efforts are restricted to sharpening their ability to comprehend the basic lessons that mainly aim to develop the skills of reading, writing, drawing etc. Moreover, the value education as propounded by Swamiji, is also a major area of our emphasis. But another important aspect that we were constrained to overlook is the students' physical activities, the reason being acute shortage of space in the present school building. Undeniably, the quality of our child-care and overall teaching standard have lured more and more students to our school every year. The resultant effect: the kids now get awfully squeezed into the small classroom desks to their utter discomfort, and such inadequacy in the infrastructural system has a potential deterrent effect on our normal school activities.

Things have, however, started to change as we have decided to have a G+4 building constructed on our own plot of land at Ratan Babu Road, which will house both the units of our School and the Medical care units of Sister Nivedita Swasthya Seva Kendra, which is presently being run at 'Nivedita Devangan' on temporary basis. Such provisional arrangement inconveniences both the poor patients and doctors. We hope the new building will address our persistent space problem to a great extent. More aspiring students will be admitted to our school to fulfil our mission of spreading the basic education to the poor and deprived children (mostly first-generation learners). So the proposed new building is a dire necessity for us at this moment.

In our estimate, the total cost of the building, up to 4th floor, will be a whopping Rs. 3,54,71,860.00 (Rupees Three Crore, Fifty-four Lacs, Seventy-one thousand Eight Hundred Sixty), yet we apprehend that in view of the spiralling construction costs, the actual cost may shoot up considerably. And in that eventuality, we are confident to have you by our side to help us tide over the financial crisis.
